New EP on the way!

Welp kids, I have successfully finished another handful of songs. I’m just making some minor changes and it’ll be ready for listening… and ready to be head-banged to …like this.

Well, I guess it doesn’t quite sound like that but you get the drift.

Here’s a picture from inside the studio.

Drums, guitars, amps, effects pedals… and the nice things in life.

Dan Frome at the Chrome Dome in Baltimore did a great job on the new songs! They’re still being tweeked a bit, but should be available pretty soon.

And for other new music, my side-band Origami Hologram is finishing the first 4 songs, which should be available within the next few days online somewhere. Here, listen to one of the songs… it’s called “Ghost Horse”.

Rocking in Baltimore

Sooo… just got back from 2 days of recording in Baltimore with Dan Frome & friends. It’s sounding pretty awesome so far. The studio has a really cool vibe and atmosphere, including a dartboard with a purple-robed Wizard painted on the front. I’m really regretting not at least getting a picture of that. I will next time… promise.

My pal Jamie (King Cloud) assisted in the drums/percussion department, while I tracked the usual vocals/guitar/keys blah blah, etc. I should have been taking more pictures, but kind of forgot too. Oh well, I will get some next time since there’s still more to do on those new songs.

Justin Kline signs with Powerpop Academy / Thistime Records in Japan!

That’s correct… Japan’s Powerpop Academy will be releasing my self-titled record, and I couldn’t be more stoked. The CD will be physically available everywhere AND it has two bonus tracks not available anywhere else, including totally new artwork.

Japan loves jangley hook driven tunes, so I am the man for the job. Also, not to mention I was born in Okinawa!

The record will be hitting stores June 22, more details to come!
